Cannes Yacht Show

On the 8th of September, the city and more so, the port of Cannes transforms. To our delight at 212 Yachts, we have access to what can only be described as the most luxurious pick of the mix in the Yachting sweetie jar. Cannes Yachting Festival is back for its 38th edition, and invites you down to Port Canto and the Vieux Port to marvel at the yachting splendour on display.

Everyone who’s anyone in the yachting industry shall be attending, darling, so get a wiggle on and rendez-vous with the leaders in the industry of luxury yachting, from concierge and services, to the biggest names in building and brokerage. Usual suspects join the new to form a fleet of over 550 boats up for admiration on the water this year, a whopping 140 of those for world premiere! Expect a delightful miscellany of lengths, designs, multihull and monohull, motor yachts and sails for prospect sale and charter.

212 Yachts are keeping a keen eye out for the debut of Baglietto’s new 46M motor yacht masterpiece, along with the Benetti Vivace 125 with its Rolls-Royce propulsion system, if you so please.  The sails of Southern Wind’s ‘Seawave’ is certainly set to draw a crowd. Don’t forget to pay Wajer and Wajer a visit, who have launched their latest design, Wajer Osprey 38 Sport onto the waters of the Riviera.

Wajer Osprey 38 Sport

212 Yachts are Wajer Osprey fans and we rent many of these boats each season. We were delighted to steal a preview of the Wajer Osprey 38 Sport down in Port Canto this weekend. With a maximum speed of 47 knots and dual Volvo engines at 435 hp a piece, the 38 S is as playful as it is powerful! You’re sure to love the quirky red leather seating of the 38 S which adds a retro twist to an otherwise sporty style; kind of like the New York Jets rocking up in those ridiculously tight football pants and still managing to look awesome. For us, the 38 S is the ideal day boat or luxury tender, and available to charter in 2016! We can’t wait! The Wajer boys will also be offering a VIP shuttle service from the Vieux Port and Port Canto, allowing a rather glamorous freedom of movement in and between the action.

Doors of the Cannes Yacht show open at 10am on Tuesday 8th September. Get your tickets or ‘Pass-Port Nautique badge” on the Festival’s official website, which is full of handy tips on access and programming of the event. In the meantime, we’ll pretend to keep calm and carry on. See you there!
