Am I allowed to travel to Greece for a yacht charter during Covid?

There are no entry restrictions for passengers travelling from within the EU and Schengen Area, United States, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand.

What documents must I present upon arrival?

A negative molecular test result (PCR test) for COVID-19, performed up to 72 hours before their entry to Greece.

An online Passenger Locator Form (PLF) to be filled out at least 48 hours before entering Greece.

What if I am vaccinated?

Fully vaccinated individuals may enter Greece without a PCR test if they present a vaccination certificate. The vaccination certificate must be in English and issued by a public authority. It must demonstrate that vaccination was completed at least 14 days before arrival to Greece.

If I previously had Covid-19 and recovered?

There is currently no information whereby an individual has previously had Covid-19 and recovered. Therefore, you are subject to the general regulations, that is to have; a negative molecular test result (PCR test) for COVID-19, performed up to 72 hours before their entry to Greece. As well as an online Passenger Locator Form (PLF) to be filled out at least 48 hours before entering Greece.

What are the regulations surrounding children?

Children under the age of 5 will not be required to hold a negative PCR test. This is providing their parent/family members do.

Do I need to quarantine upon arrival?

Yes, however, residents of the EU, New Zealand, Australia, South Korea, Thailand, Rwanda, Singapore, USA, UK, Israel, Serbia, and UAE are exempt from quarantine restrictions if they present: 1) A negative PCR test taken up to 72 hours before arrival, or 2) A certificate of vaccination, in English, issued by a public authority, provided that the vaccination was completed at least 14 days before arrival to Greece.

All visitors from air, land, or sea, will be subject to random tests upon arrival. Upon being tested, travellers move to their final destination and must quarantine for 24 hours until you receive your result. In the event of a positive result, they will be contacted. They will be placed in 14-day quarantine, with expenses covered by the Greek state.

So, I can charter a yacht in Greece during Covid, but what are the current general restrictions in the country?

It is mandatory to wear a mask in all public places (both indoors and outdoors), in all areas of Greece.

A curfew is in place from 11pm to 5am.

Retail stores (except for shopping malls) are open for ‘click-away’ and ‘click-in-shop’ by appointment.

Restaurants, bars and cafés are open outside only from May 3rd with max 6 guests/table.
