As the peak season on the French Riviera draws to a close, the events just keep going! What Events are Hot this September on the French Riviera

Salon de Valbonne 30th August – 7th September, Espace de la Vignasse, Le Pré des Arts, Valbonne – For just 5€ entry, you can enter a world of vintage items and antiques. From furniture to sculptures, and from jewellery to books, you are sure to find something gorgeous here! Also features a modern art fair, for those with a slightly different taste! There are also ‘creative’ sessions for children.

Hi Beach Closing Party 6th September, Promenade des Anglais, Nice –  This is the perfect beach party to see out the summer. For only 20€, you will have entry to one of the hottest nights in town, and have the pleasure of Anja Schneider, Cassy b2b D’Julz, and Dada Disco entertaining you through the night. Into bass and techno? This is the only place you should be. Event here:

Historic Jean Behra Rally 12th – 14th September, Nice – This historic rally is a tribute to the world famous, Nice-born driver Jean Behra. This year’s rally is 700km long, and takes 2 ½ days, crossing many national parks, the Alps, and many cities en route! Drivers will even have the opportunity to race some of the Monte Carlo Grand Prix’s most precarious turns and hairpins! Although now too late to enter, we definitely recommend checking out the route and seeing if you can catch part of the race as it whizzes by! For information, see:

Singing Day 13th September, Saint-Raphael – For something a bit more serious, and a bit more historic, why not head down to Saint-Raphael, for their annual Singing Day. This event has been organised as a memorial for the First World War, and as a way to bring many different churches, ages, and styles of music together. Information here: Les Etoiles de Mougins 19th – 21st September, Mougins Any food lovers out there? This is the festival for you. Mougins is taken over for 3 days, by a series of gastronomic delights. With a competition on the Saturday for amateur cooks, and many renowned chefs in residence, it is bound to be a culinary delight.

Purple Pants Promenade 27.9.14, Port Vauban, Antibes – Fancy doing some good, both for your health and for charity? This is the event for you! The Purple Pants Promenade is a 3.5km walk between 7pm and 10pm, in Antibes, all to raise money for the two charities Wellbeing of Women and Defi de Femmes. Get involved – purple power! Cannes Yachting Festival – The Cannes Yacht Show

9th – 14th September, Cannes –  With over 580 boats and yachts on display, this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival promises to be a good’un. What’s more, there will be over 150 world first editions! From 10 to 50m, and both motor and sailing boats, there truly is something for everyone. Spread over 3 ports, this is a great day out to marvel at the sheer size and luxuriousness of these yachts, but also to talk to industry experts and owners. More information on:

Monaco Yacht Show

24.9.14 – 27.9.14, Monaco – Hundreds of brokers and boat owners will be represented at this annual event, with the chance to see some of the finest vessels in the industry. Lucky clients will be invited to parties and dinners, and will have a chance to have a sneak peek around these luxury yachts. Three press conferences will also be held. Truly the place to be if you’re part of the industry or want to buy a yacht. Find information here:
