Le Mois des Jardins 30.5.14 – 29.6.14, Menton – The Gardens of Menton are renowned for their beauty and their variedness. Throughout this month, Le Mois des Jardins offers a range of events, open days and exhibitions. A must-do for anyone with green fingers or anyone who fancies a lovely stroll in the sun! Voiles d’Antibes – 19ème Edition 4.6.14 – 8.6.14 , Antibes – The Voiles d’Antibes festival is held in the first week of June every year, and hosts a range of classic, traditional and vintage yachts. It marks the start of the Mediterranean circuit for Yachts de Tradition et les Classes Métriques, as well as the first stage of the Panerai Classic Yachts Challenge. BioNazur 6.6.14 – 8.6.14, Nice – This three day festival (10am to 8pm daily) aims to inform you about bio products and alimentation, as well as putting you in touch with health professionals. You will also learn about bio fashion, make-up, holidays… and much more! More information on

Festival de la télévision de Monte-Carlo 7.6.14 – 11.6.14, Grimaldi Forum, Monaco – Sure to be full of celebrities and glamour, this international Television Festival will definitely make for an exciting event. Nice Book Festival 13.6.14 – 15.6.14, Nice – A jam-packed weekend full of question sessions with authors, debates, discussions and talks. Open from 10am to 7pm.

International Young Soloists Competition – 43ème Edition 18.6.14 – 26.6.14, Antibes – This annual competition was launched in 1971 in order to give young soloists the opportunity to place in professional venues, backed by an orchestra. With performances ranging from Mozart to Gershwin, and nights with themes such as “Brass” or “French music”, there is something for everyone here. For event information and programme:

Ballet Revolución 20.6.14 – 22.6.14, Grimaldi Forum, Monaco – Ballet, but like you’ve never seen it before! This traditional form of dance has been mixed with street dance, and is backed by Latin American music, as well as hits from Beyoncé, Shakira and Usher. The Lord of the Rings Cinema-Concert 28.6.14 – 29.6.14, Grimaldi Forum, Monaco – Are you a bit of a Tolkien-buff? This is the event for you. The first of the film trilogy will be shown on a giant screen at the Grimaldi Forum, with original voices and sound effects… but the sound track will be played live in front of you by the Philharmonic Orchestra of Monte-Carlo, complete with choirs and singers! Inter-bank Regatta 28.6.14 – 29.6.14, Bay of Monaco – This regatta pitches dozens of teams representing different banks and financial institutions head-to-head. It promises to be a very exciting couple of days, and definitely one to watch from the shore. More information on

And for those who fancy something a bit further afield… Olive Festival 6.6.14 – 7.6.14, Libre, Breil sur Roya – Breil sur Roya is famous for its olives and olive-based products, and hosts this event annually to celebrate this, including markets, exhibitions, crafts, entertainment… If nothing else, a lovely mountain village to visit for an afternoon. Summer Pastures or Transhum’âne 14.6.14 – 15.6.14, Valdeblore – Fancy doing something a bit different? Why not help lead loads of donkeys from Lantosque to Valdeblore! A two-day walk, with camping overnight, spectacular views, great company and the chance to lead and care for a drove of donkeys. Event information on
